We're partnering with a global organisation to find a Business Development Specialist to join their Melbourne team.
This position offers the chance to work at the forefront of:
- Large-scale infrastructure development
- Emerging sectors such as digital infrastructure
- Energy transition and decarbonisation
You'll work closely with experienced leaders locally and internationally, giving you strong exposure to cross-border projects and high-level decision-making.
Responsibilities
✔ Lead the identification and development of new business and investment opportunities
✔ Build and grow relationships with key industry players, including developers, investors, and advisors
✔ Assess commercial viability of projects, including financials, risks, and strategic value
✔ Support the full project lifecycle - from early-stage origination through to execution
✔ Stay close to market trends and uncover opportunities within infrastructure and energy sectors
✔ Work collaboratively across teams to unlock new opportunities and drive business growth
✔ Engage with global teams to contribute to investment strategy and project direction
✔ Play a role in advancing projects across energy transition sectors, including hydrogen, biofuels, and carbon markets
Requirements
✔ Experience in business development or project development within infrastructure, energy, or a related sector
✔ A strong commercial mindset - you're comfortable assessing opportunities and making recommendations
✔ Exposure to financial analysis (high-level modelling capability is advantageous)
✔ Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across different levels
✔ Confidence working in a global, cross-cultural environment
✔ Strong communication and presentation skills
✔ A proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
✔ Solid skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
