About the Role
This newly created role will take ownership of accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax compliance, and statutory obligations for a portfolio of Australian investment holding companies, SPVs, and trusts.
Working closely with the Singapore finance team and external stakeholders, you will oversee end-to-end finance operations, including reporting, treasury, compliance, audits, and cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare financial statements for multiple entities, SPVs, and trusts.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accounting records in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
- Manage intercompany transactions, funding activities, and reconciliations.
- Prepare management and regional reporting.
Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage payments, banking activities, and treasury operations.
- Monitor liquidity, cash flow forecasting, and funding requirements.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, KYC obligations, and banking relationships.
- Manage intercompany settlements and cash movements.
Tax, Compliance & Audit
- Coordinate corporate tax, GST, and statutory filings.
- Support transfer pricing and international tax reporting requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and corporate secretaries.
- Manage annual audits, statutory reporting, and compliance obligations.
- Maintain effective financial controls and documentation.
About You
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- CPA, CA, US CPA, or Japan CPA highly regarded.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting, finance, and treasury.
- Experience with investment holding companies, SPVs, trusts, funds, or real estate structures is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, IFRS, and Australian tax requirements.
- Hands-on experience managing multiple entities and statutory reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Fluent Japanese and English language skills are essential.
