HOBAN Recruitment is proud to be partnering with our client, a well-established and growing organisation, to source an experienced Senior Finance Manager / Management Accountant to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled accounting professional who enjoys managing a diverse range of financial responsibilities, improving processes, and working closely with key stakeholders. You will play an integral role in supporting the organisation's financial operations through accurate reporting, reconciliations, payroll coordination, and compliance activities.
About the Role:
Reporting to the business, you will be responsible for managing a broad range of accounting functions, including:
- Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements and management of financial transactions
- Maintaining accounting system data feeds and ensuring financial data accuracy
- Matching weekly income deposits against sales invoices
- Managing weekly accounts payable processes, including payment preparation and ABA file uploads
- Assisting with payroll reviews to ensure accurate processing of pay rates and entitlements
- BAS preparation and lodgement
- Supporting month-end accounting processes and preparation of management reports
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and clearing account reviews
- Managing prepayments, amortisation journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules
- Maintaining employee provisions including Superannuation, LSL, and other liabilities
- Reviewing tax accounts, employee liabilities, leases, hire purchases, and fleet expenses
- Coordinating payroll functions and supporting TMS management
- Liaising with external accountants and key stakeholders as required
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Senior Accounts Officer, Management Accountant, or similar accounting role
- Strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes
- Experience using MYOB and payroll systems such as Micropay
- Knowledge of payroll processing and EBA environments
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work autonomously while building effective relationships across the business
- A willingness to embrace new technology and systems, with experience across platforms such as SAP, Ariba, Assignar, or similar highly regarded
