About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on EHS Associate to support safety, environmental, and compliance outcomes within a busy distribution centre environment. This is a site-based role focused on driving safety initiatives, managing risk, and ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
You will play a key role in maintaining compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and partnering with operational teams on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and deliver site-wide safety initiatives aligned to business strategy
- Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental legislation and internal policies
- Develop, review, and maintain safety procedures and documentation
- Conduct risk assessments and manage hazards and incidents
- Drive corrective and preventative actions following incidents
- Coordinate and support safety and environmental audits
- Deliver safety inductions and training programmes
- Oversee emergency procedures and facilitate refresher training
- Manage injury and return-to-work processes
- Engage with site teams to promote safe work practices and behaviours
About You
- Minimum 4 years' experience in an EHS or safety role
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
- Proven experience with risk assessments, incident management, and audits
- Confident delivering training and engaging frontline staff
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work on-site daily
Desirable:
- Formal EHS qualification (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree)
- Experience within warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environments
