Business Analyst

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a significant ICT transition project within a large, government‑aligned health environment located in BRUCE ACT. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex digital uplift activities that will directly improve health service delivery for the ACT community.
About the Role
In this position, you will play a key part in supporting the transition of ICT systems to a full ACT Government network environment. Working closely with senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams, you will:
- Provide high‑level advice to ensure timely and high‑quality project outcomes.
- Analyse business processes, systems, and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Elicit, validate, and document business, functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, business areas, and diverse stakeholders.
- Support solution design and ensure alignment with organisational standards.
- Conduct impact assessments, readiness reviews, and gap analyses.
- Assist in test planning, reviewing test cases, and validating solution functionality.
- Prepare documentation in line with governance and quality requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and overall project efficiency.

About You
You are an experienced Business Analyst who thrives in complex program environments and can communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst within complex projects or programs.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall or other structured project methodologies.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience coordinating project workflow and priorities.
- SQL experience (highly regarded).
- Previous ACT Government or public health experience (advantageous).
- Commitment to quality, safety, and organisational values.
Mandatory requirement:
- Please note you do need to have Full Work Rights in AUSTRALIA for this Government role.
- Ability to maintain relationships with complex stakeholder groups to achieve project outcomes.
