APS 5 Quality Officer

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking experienced APS5 Quality Officers to join a high‑performing federal government team located in either Surry Hills, Newcastle or Wollongong NSW.
These roles play an important part in supporting quality assurance, consistent decision‑making and continuous improvement across critical service delivery functions.
About the Role
In this role, you will operate under limited supervision to deliver moderately complex quality assurance activities and contribute to operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting routine quality assurance audits and quality control activities
- Performing qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess quality and compliance
- Translating technical information into clear, accessible written communication
- Providing evidence‑based assessments and documenting findings accurately
- Identifying risks and taking appropriate action in line with established procedures
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and best‑practice approaches
- Managing workflow priorities effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
- Supporting and mentoring team members to uplift technical quality
- Recording data in line with privacy and policy requirements
- Using tools including Microsoft Excel, CRM systems and government platforms (PACE experience desirable)

- Strong Microsoft Excel capability

Desirable experience
- Knowledge of NDIS legislation, policy and guidelines
- Experience using PACE and SAP CRM platforms
- Understanding of audit processes and improvement frameworks
- Knowledge of NDIS planning, decision‑making and Reasonable & Necessary principles
- Background in social services, government administration, disability services or quality assurance
