APS 5 Project Officer

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced APS5 level Project Officer to support critical projects and performance initiatives within a high‑impact federal environment.

About the Role
In this role, you will perform moderately complex work under limited supervision, supporting project delivery, reporting, and operational improvement activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with project coordination, monitoring progress and reviewing outcomes.
- Drafting business cases, briefs, plans and corporate documents.
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative research and analysis.
- Extracting and presenting data using tools such as PACE dashboards, report builder, SAS and Microsoft Excel.
- Supporting communication materials and presenting insights and recommendations.
- Managing stakeholder enquiries with timely, accurate responses.
- Coordinating reporting to track improvement initiatives.
- Undertaking quality assurance checks and trend analysis.
- Supporting workflow and routing activities across business areas.

About You
You'll be a proactive team player who can manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality work in a dynamic environment. You demonstrate:
- Strong Microsoft Excel capability (advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, data visualisation).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work autonomously and use initiative to achieve outcomes.

- Adaptability to shifting priorities and organisational changes.
- High customer service orientation with the ability to build trusted relationships.

Desirable:
- Understanding of Disability Legislation, Policy and operational guidelines.
- Knowledge of PACE and SAP CRM platforms, including routing rules and permissions.
- Experience with Salesforce analytics, JIRA, or on‑system workflow management.
