APS 6 Broadcast Animator

HOBAN Recruitment is partnering with a Federal Government client to source an experienced Broadcast Animator based in Deakin, ACT.
In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality digital animation content across multiple platforms, playing a key part in translating complex ideas into engaging visual stories.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver end-to-end animation production - from ideation, storyboarding and scripting through to final delivery
• Produce engaging animation content optimised for social media, websites, digital signage and motion graphics
• Create branded animation suites ensuring consistency across all video outputs
• Apply animation techniques to simplify complex information and support data visualisation
• Collaborate with video production teams and internal stakeholders to deliver projects
• Manage animation assets, libraries and workflows effectively
• Coordinate projects, timelines and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful delivery
• Contribute to innovative animation practices and continuous improvement initiatives

About You
You are a creative and technically skilled animator who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys bringing ideas to life.
Key skills and experience:

• Advanced expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and 2D/3D animation software (e.g. Blender)
• Proven experience delivering full-cycle animation projects from concept to completion
• Experience producing animation content optimised for digital channels and social media
• Ability to communicate complex concepts through engaging visual storytelling
• Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills
• Experience working within video production or digital media teams
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Desirable:

• Experience in an Australian Government environment or knowledge of communications protocols
• Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g. captions, transcripts, WCAG)
• Familiarity with Office 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
• Knowledge of copyright, consent and media usage rights
• Exposure to tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Media Encoder
