We are currently seeking an experienced Engagement Coordinator for a short-term ASO5 assignment within the South Australian Government, supporting a high-profile reform initiative within the education sector.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that supports young people and strengthens community engagement outcomes across South Australia.
About the Role
Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will play a key role in supporting stakeholder engagement activities and coordinating program delivery within the Safeguarding Democracy reform. You will provide administrative, communications, and project support to ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives, including major events and stakeholder forums.
Key Responsibilities
- Support stakeholder engagement activities across internal and external groups
- Coordinate projects, timelines, and deliverables to meet program objectives
- Prepare high-quality documentation including reports, briefings, correspondence, and presentations
- Support the coordination of events, forums, and working groups
- Liaise with stakeholders including government teams, partners, and external organisations
- Assist in developing systems and processes to track progress, reporting, and outcomes
- Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
About You
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination, engagement, or event management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills suited to a government environment
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience working in government or public sector environments (desirable)
- Confident working both independently and within a team
Requirements
- Current National Police Check (< 2 years)
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
