Temporary Project Officer - Design & Engineering Focus
Location: Marsden Park
Contract: Temporary until 30 June 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (flexible for the right candidate)
Pay Level: RFS Level 8/9

The Rural Fire Service (RFS) is seeking two Temporary Project Officers with a practical background in design, drafting, or engineering, ideally with industry experience in trucks, vehicles, or vessels. This role provides an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a project management environment supporting essential community services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with design and drafting projects, using CAD software to support engineering initiatives
• Provide project management support, including planning, tracking, and reporting on project milestones
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality project outcomes
• Maintain project documentation and contribute to problem-solving and process improvement

Skills & Experience:

• Experience with CAD software and drafting/design tools
• Background in engineering, design, or relevant industry (trucks, vehicles, vessels)
• Basic project management and computer skills
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work in a team environment
