Customer Service Officer
Location: Northern Suburbs Melbourne
Employment Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: $35+ p/hr 
Duration: Short term opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and customer-focused Customer Service Officer to join a well-established Australian business operating within a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring customers receive exceptional service while supporting the end-to-end order fulfilment process. You will act as the key point of contact for customers, liaising with internal teams to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email.
• Manage customer order status updates and delivery expectations.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints and service issues.
• Liaise with internal departments including sales, warehouse, logistics and operations.
• Maintain customer information and records within company systems.
• Monitor stock availability and communicate potential supply issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build strong client relationships.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the customer service team.

About You

• Previous experience in a Customer Service, Sales Support or Order Processing position.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working within a manufacturing, FMCG, wholesale, distribution or logistics environment.
• Strong attention to detail and administrative skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to customer service.

Highly Regarded

• SAP experience.
• Experience processing customer orders and coordinating deliveries.
• Exposure to inventory, warehouse or supply chain operations.
