A federal government agency is seeking a Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead to establish and embed Agile ways of working within its Learning and Development function, facilitating learning programs, coaching teams, and driving continuous improvement.

- Rate: $602.55 per day + superannuation
About the Role:
The Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead will design and implement an Agile delivery framework tailored to learning and capability development projects. The role will facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage delivery backlogs, coach L&D staff to build sustainable Agile capability, and provide strategic advice to leadership on Agile ways of working. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional to influence learning delivery practices and contribute to a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement within a federal government environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, establish, and embed an Agile delivery framework for learning and capability development projects.
- Facilitate core Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coach and develop L&D staff to take on future Scrum Master or Agile delivery roles.
- Partner with product owners and functional leads to develop and prioritise delivery backlogs aligned to strategic learning outcomes.
- Establish delivery tools, metrics, and reporting mechanisms.
- Remove barriers to progress and proactively manage delivery risks and dependencies.
- Promote collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide strategic advice to leadership on Agile delivery and learning program outcomes.
- Other duties as required
Mandatory Requirements:
- Full Australian citizenship.
- Demonstrated experience establishing Agile frameworks in a learning and development or multidisciplinary environment.
- Proven ability to coach and develop staff to build sustainable Agile capability.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft 365 Applications, or equivalents.
Highly Regarded:
- Certified Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master, or equivalent qualification.
- Qualifications in learning design, instructional design, or education technology.
- Experience in public sector or large organisational learning environments.
- Knowledge of digital learning platforms, authoring tools, and Learning Management Systems.
