About the Role:
The Housing Support Officer will provide administrative and property management support to Coordinators and school staff, ensuring the efficient delivery of subsidised housing across Queensland. The successful candidate will maintain accurate housing records, coordinate tenancy and inspection processes, and support compliance with departmental policies and legislative requirements.
This role will suit a professional with demonstrated experience in administration, property management, or customer service. The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across regional communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to Regional Housing Coordinators and school staff, including preparation of tenancy and leasing documentation, correspondence, and housing records.
- Maintain accurate data in the Employee Housing System (EHS) and other departmental systems.
- Assist with property management processes such as tenant entry/exit, inspections, and routine correspondence.
- Prepare documentation in line with departmental policy and legislative requirements.
- Respond to enquiries from school staff, tenants, and stakeholders professionally and escalate complex matters when required.
- Support program delivery through scheduling, travel arrangements, and other logistical tasks.
- Uphold public sector values by providing reliable, accurate, and professional support.
- Other duties as required.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Previous experience in administrative or property support roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Current Class C driver's licence.
- Criminal history screening clearance.
- Full Australian working rights.
Highly Regarded:
- Experience working in government or education-related administration
- Knowledge of property or tenancy management processes.
- Experience with database systems or record-keeping systems.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders across regional locations.
