About the Role:
The APS6 Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and delivering key program activities, managing timelines and reporting requirements, and supporting the development of culturally safe initiatives across a national workforce. The role works closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and First Nations partners to ensure programs are responsive, effective, and aligned with organisational goals.
This position will suit a professional with strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills who is passionate about cultural safety, continuous improvement, and supporting capability development within a federal government context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the delivery of complex program activities, including managing timelines, deliverables, risks, and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with First Nations stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners.
- Support the development and delivery of culturally safe training, induction, and professional development resources.
- Contribute to program evaluation and continuous improvement through feedback analysis and performance monitoring.
- Align program outcomes with broader organisational strategies and workforce priorities.
- Prepare high quality reports, briefings, and communication materials for internal and external audiences.
- Undertake other program related duties as required.
Mandatory Requirements:
- You must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this role.
- Demonstrated experience in program coordination, delivery, or project management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of cultural safety principles and experience engaging respectfully with First Nations communities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, briefings, and presentations.
Highly Regarded:
- Experience within the Australian Public Service or a government-funded program environment.
- Familiarity with disability services, workforce capability, or community engagement programs.
- Knowledge of co-design methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
