A respected State Government Agency is seeking a Temporary AO3 Aerial Support Officer to assist in the safe and efficient delivery of aerial operations across Southeast Queensland.

About the Role:
 The AO3 Aerial Support Officer will support operational teams conducting aerial treatments and monitoring activities within designated project areas. The position involves both on ground field support and office based tasks to ensure aerial operations are conducted safely, effectively, and in line with program requirements.
The ideal candidate will be organised, adaptable, and able to work effectively in dynamic environments. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, along with a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-ground support during aerial operations, managing risks related to crops, livestock, infrastructure, and public safety.
- Navigate to designated locations to observe and monitor helicopter operations.
- Lead daily pre-start briefings with operational staff and subcontractors.
- Monitor and record aircraft activity and respond promptly to safety incidents or issues.
- Perform administrative and logistical support duties, including data entry, vehicle maintenance, and map preparation.
- Assist in developing and maintaining operational procedures and accurate records.
- Engage respectfully with stakeholders and the public to support positive community relations.
- Support refuelling, safety checks, and other aerial servicing requirements as required.
- Other duties as required
Mandatory Requirements:
- Current 'C' class driver's licence.
- Full working rights in Australia.
Highly Regarded:
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, particularly with rural or agricultural communities.
- Manual driver's licence.
