- Located - Brisbane, QLD
- APS 6 Equivalent $60 + p/h + superannuation
- Temporary, casual labor on hire assignment
About the Role
As an APS6 People Policy and Workplace Relations Advisor, you will play a key role in developing and implementing employment policies, supporting workplace relations, and contributing to strategic HR initiatives. You'll work with autonomy and accountability, interpreting legislation and policy to provide expert advice and support across the organisation.
This role involves:
- Researching and applying enterprise agreement conditions, policies, and legislation.
- Supporting business process improvements.
- Developing and reviewing employment-related policies and procedures.
- Providing clear, accurate advice to build manager capability and organisational understanding.
- Building networks across internal and external HR communities.
- Coordinating and contributing to HR project design and delivery.
- Other duties as required
About You
You're a confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a deep understanding of employment legislation and policy frameworks. You thrive in dynamic environments and are comfortable managing complex or sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion.
You'll bring:
- Experience in workplace relations, policy development, or HR project management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-engagement check
- Must be an Australian Citizen
