About the Role
As an EL1 Business Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying, analysing and documenting current business processes and requirements.
- Facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders, subject matter experts and delivery teams.
- Leading business process mapping, current-state and future-state analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
- Developing business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and process maps.
- Supporting Product Owners and multidisciplinary teams throughout Agile delivery cycles.
- Evaluating proposed solutions and supporting solution design activities.
- Assisting with verification testing and ensuring solutions align with business requirements.
- Managing complex stakeholder relationships and influencing outcomes across multiple business areas.
- Providing strategic analysis and recommendations to support organisational priorities.
- Competitive pay rate of $602.55 per day at EL1 Level, including casual loading, providing you with financial stability and recognition for your expertise.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong business analysis expertise, including requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation and traceability.
- Proven experience in business process mapping, process improvement and business transformation projects.
- Ability to develop user stories, business requirements documentation and acceptance criteria.
- Experience facilitating workshops and effectively engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working closely with Product Owners and delivery teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
- Experience supporting solution design, testing and business readiness activities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex operating environment.
- Experience supporting digital transformation, service design or business improvement programs.
- Knowledge of Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence and Azure DevOps.
- Experience working within Federal Government, the Australian Public Service or other complex government environments.
- Understanding of participant-focused service delivery, human services or disability-related environments.
- Experience working across both business and technology teams to support product delivery.
- Relevant qualifications and/or certifications in:
- Business Analysis
- Agile
- Scrum
- Lean
- Related disciplines
