About the Role
This role sits within the Operations Division, which oversees the delivery of disaster recovery and resilience funding programs. The Senior Analytics and Business Intelligence Lead will be responsible for reporting and analysis across program and project execution, including governance, scope, cost, time, and quality. The role reports to the Director, Program Delivery Office and works closely with the Analytics and Business Intelligence Officer.
This role involves:
- Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reports.
- Analyse complex data structures to identify trends and insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to improve reporting and data processes.
- Support program management through financial and schedule performance reporting.
- Provide business analysis to define problems and identify operational risks.
- Deliver tailored reporting for executive and operational audiences.
- Manage project controls including budget tracking, risk mitigation, and quality assurance.
- Maintain governance standards and contribute to audit processes.
- Other duties as required
About You
- Strong data skills - confident working with SQL, PowerBI, and Excel to create reports and dashboards.
- Experience with cloud tools - familiar with Azure and Microsoft Office 365.
- Analytical thinking - able to understand complex data and turn it into useful insights.
- Business analysis experience - can identify problems, suggest solutions, and communicate clearly with different teams.
- Project reporting skills - able to track budgets, timelines, and risks across multiple projects.
- Great communication - can write reports, present findings, and explain technical ideas to non-technical people.
- Teamwork and stakeholder engagement - works well with others and builds strong relationships.
- Self-management - works independently, meets deadlines, and stays organised.
- Governance awareness - understands policies and contributes to audits and compliance.
- Relevant qualifications - ideally holds a Diploma or certification in Project Management (e.g. PMP, Prince2, MSP).
- Must have full Australian working rights
