Japanese-Speaking Finance Officer

Our client is seeking a Japanese-speaking Finance Officer. The company continues to grow through ongoing acquisitions and expansion. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Sydney CBD. Convenient and flexible hybrid working arrangements are also offered.

[Key responsibilities]
- Supporting operation tasks related to loan funding settlements for group companies
- Supporting Cashflow and funds management with Bank, including foreign currency management
- Supporting cash pooling operations, including e-mail communication with group entities, and ensure efficient intercompany and bank funding activities.
- Assisting group companies' shared service activities such as banking, accounting and tax
- As the representative office in Australia, provide appropriate explanations and necessary support to group companies
- Daily international & domestic payments and accounts payable journal entries
- Liaise with banks, FX contracts, trade loan applications
- Daily cash flow for various currencies and corresponding bank accounts
- Bank reconciliation, accounts reconciliation, balance confirmation
- Accounts payable, Accounts receivable
- Journal entries
- BAS and PAYG
- Assist various monthly and quarterly closing procedures.
- Online banking user maintenance
- Assist monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis where required.
- Assist interna/external audit procedures.
- Support various tasks in the team.
- Any other ad hoc accounting and other specific BU assistance as required
SELECTIOM CRITERIA:
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Attention to detail & accuracy
- At least 3 years accounting and finance experience
- Must be proficient in English (both written and oral)
- Intermediate Excel skills, Word and Outlook
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to solve problems and continuously improve processes
- Strong work ethic, diligence, integrity. A team player
