Japanese Speaking Branch Manager (Brisbane)

Lead a Growing Branch for a Leading Food Distribution Business Our client is a well-established food distribution business supplying restaurants, retailers, and foodservice customers across Australia. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Japanese Speaking Branch Manager to lead their Brisbane branch located in Salisbury.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the branch, overseeing a team of approximately 15–20 employees across warehouse and office operations. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving sales growth, operational excellence, team development, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all day-to-day branch operations
• Drive sales growth and execute business development strategies
• Manage and develop a team of approximately 15–20 employees
• Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships
• Monitor branch performance against budgets, forecasts, and KPIs
• Provide regular reporting, insights, and recommendations to senior management
• Ensure high standards of operational efficiency, safety, and customer service

Skills & Experience Essential

• Minimum 5 years' experience in sales, operations, branch management, or warehouse management within the food, FMCG, wholesale, or distribution industry
• Minimum 2 years' experience leading teams of 10 or more employees
• Demonstrated success in driving business growth and achieving sales targets
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and KPIs
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
• Ability to independently manage branch operations
• Full Australian working rights
• Current Australian driver's licence
• Japanese and English bilingual skills 

Highly Regarded

• Business-level Japanese language skills
• Experience within Japanese businesses
• Strong customer relationship management and negotiation skills
• Experience reporting to senior executives
• Knowledge of the Brisbane foodservice, hospitality, or wholesale market
• Available for 5 days a week onsite
