Workshop & Field Service Technician

HOBAN Recruitment is partnering with a leading heavy machinery and equipment provider to recruit experienced Workshop Technicians and Field Service Technicians based in Berrinba.
These permanent opportunities are ideal for qualified Diesel, Heavy Vehicle or Heavy Earthmoving Technicians who enjoy hands-on fault-finding, servicing and repairs and take pride in keeping customer equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Choose the Role That Suits You
Workshop Technician: Complete servicing, repairs and diagnostics in a well-equipped workshop, with occasional field support when required.
Field Service Technician: Travel to customer sites to respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete servicing and repairs in the field, while supporting the workshop team when required.

Location: Berrinba, QLD
Pay Rate: $45–$50 per hour + overtime

Key Responsibilities

• Service, diagnose and repair heavy earthmoving and construction equipment in the workshop or at customer sites
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults using diagnostic techniques and software
• Respond to customer breakdowns and provide practical technical assistance, including over the phone when required
• Complete accurate service, repair and warranty reports, supported by relevant photographs and documentation
• Maintain positive customer relationships and communicate clearly with customers, supervisors and team members

About You

• Relevant Diesel, Heavy Vehicle or Heavy Earthmoving trade qualification
• Post-trade experience within the earthmoving, construction equipment or heavy machinery industry
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, including electric-over-hydraulic equipment
• Proven fault-finding, problem-solving and time-management skills
• MR or HR truck licence desirable, particularly for field-based positions
