Workshop Technician

HOBAN Recruitment is partnering with an established heavy machinery and equipment provider to recruit an experienced Workshop Technician for their Yennora operation.
This is a hands-on role for a qualified technician who enjoys diagnostics, fault finding, servicing and repairs and takes pride in getting machinery back up and running.
The Role Working as part of the workshop team, you’ll primarily be based in the workshop, with occasional field support as required.

You’ll be responsible for:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy machinery and equipment
- Diagnosing faults and resolving mechanical and technical issues
- Working with electric-over-hydraulic systems
- Completing accurate service reports, photos and warranty documentation
- Supporting field service technicians when required
- Prioritising repairs to minimise downtime and keep customers moving
- Diesel / Heavy Earthmoving Trade Certificate – essential
- Minimum 4 years’ post-trade experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
- Experience with electric-over-hydraulic systems
- Excellent mechanical and technical problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good organisation and time management
- Basic computer skills across Word, Excel and Outlook
- MR or HR licence desirable

$45 - $60 per hour, Benefits: Overtime Available
