About the Role
You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy equipment, including:
Excavators, diggers, graders, dump trucks, rollers, loaders, skid steers and other earthmoving machinery.
Depending on your experience and preference, you'll work either in the workshop (Yennora) or in a field service capacity attending customer sites and breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair heavy earthmoving and construction equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Attend breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime.
- Complete service reports, warranty documentation and supporting photos.
- Provide technical advice and fault diagnosis when required.
- Support workshop and field teams as needed.
- Build strong customer relationships.
- Maintain a safe, clean and professional work environment.
- Ensure all work complies with OEM standards and company procedures.
About You
To be successful, you'll have:
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Fitter or Heavy Earthmoving Technician.
- 2-4+ years post-trade experience.
- Experience working on earthmoving, construction, quarry or mining equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience with hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of electric-over-hydraulic systems (advantageous).
- Experience with OEM diagnostic software (desirable).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Computer skills for service reporting and warranty documentation.
- Current driver's licence (MR or HR highly regarded).
