  HOBAN Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join a leading global organisation specialising in conveyor equipment solutions and industrial technology.

  This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanically skilled technician who enjoys hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and the opportunity to travel across Australia and New Zealand.

  Reporting to the Melbourne-based Field Service Manager, you will provide technical support to customers through installations, troubleshooting, training, maintenance support, and warranty services.

  About the Role

  Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting customer site visits for installations, inspections, health checks, and audits
  • Troubleshooting mechanical issues and providing effective solutions
  • Supporting customers and service teams with technical guidance and action plans
  • Delivering onsite and remote customer training
  • Completing service reports, documentation, and technical records
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and demonstration setups
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company requirements
  • Working independently while collaborating with internal teams

  About You

  We are looking for a technician who brings:

  • A Mechanical Trade Qualification (Certificate III or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in mechanical servicing, maintenance, or field-based technical roles
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage customer relationships
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • A current driver's licence
  • Flexibility to travel across Australia and New Zealand when required

  Experience with conveyor systems, industrial equipment, or AutoCAD 2D would be advantageous but is not essential.

  What's On Offer

  • Competitive salary package:
    • Mid-level technicians: $100,000 base + super
    • Senior/experienced technicians: $110,000-$130,000+ base + super
  • Annual performance bonus

  Location

  Based in Epping VIC 3076, with regular travel required throughout Australia and New Zealand.
