Grounds & Garden Maintenance Crew Member

Our client is the beating heart of Queensland's fresh produce industry - a vibrant, fast-paced hub where growers, wholesalers, retailers, and logistics teams work together to move millions of kilograms of fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers every week. Located in Rocklea, just south of the Brisbane CBD, this 72-hectare precinct is Queensland's central marketplace for fresh produce and a key link in Australia's supply chain.

Home to hundreds of tenants - from produce traders and exporters to logistics companies and support services - the site combines the energy of market trading with the precision of large-scale logistics operations.

As a Grounds and Garden Maintenance Crew Member, you'll play a key role in keeping this iconic site looking its best. You'll maintain lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas through mowing, pruning, trimming, and planting, while operating a range of machinery including mowers, tractors, and pressure washers. You'll also support overall site presentation through general property maintenance, minor repairs, safe herbicide application, and upkeep of public areas such as roads, walkways, and amenities.

You'll be:

• Maintaining lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas - mowing, pruning, trimming, and planting
• Operating machinery including mowers, tractors, and pressure washers
• Supporting site presentation with general maintenance and minor repairs
• Applying herbicides safely and maintaining clear, safe roadways and pedestrian areas
• Assisting with public area upkeep including cleaning and waste management
  
  Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday (weekend OT available)
  Location: Rocklea QLD
  
  You'll need:
• Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance
• Strong mechanical aptitude and machinery operation skills
• Good understanding of WHS and environmental standards
• Physically fit, safety-focused, and team-oriented
  
  Highly regarded: Cert III in Parks & Gardens or Landscaping, chainsaw licence, traffic control qualification, MR or forklift licence.
