The Delivery Driver plays a key role in ensuring timely, safe and professional
delivery of goods to customers. This position supports the logistics team by
transporting products, maintaining delivery records, and assisting with
warehouse operations as needed. The role requires a strong sense of
responsibility, attention to safety, and a commitment to excellent customer
service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine delivery destinations and select appropriate routes for timely delivery
- Deliver goods safely and punctually in accordance with daily schedules
- Load and unload products, ensuring secure handling and transport
- Provide courteous and professional service to customers, including confirming deliveries and addressing basic inquiries
- Complete delivery documentaon and obtain customer signatures where required
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report maintenance needs promptly
- Follow all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and delivery protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse, and customer service teams regarding delivery status or issues
- May receive payments for deliveries and assist with account arrangements
- Support warehouse operations when required, including order preparation and stock movement
- Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to a safe and cooperative team environment
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Valid Australian driver's licence (manual preferred)
- Ability to lift and handle goods up to 25kg safely
- Basic communication skills both verbal and written in English(necessary) and Japanese (preferred)
- Strong sense of punctuality, reliability, and customer service
- Willingness to follow procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
- Previous delivery or warehouse experience (desirable but not required)
Workplace Conditions
- Lifting or moving of items (typically 5-20kg)
- Pushing/pulling trolleys or pallet jacks
- Long drive
- Working in environments with variable temperatures (Warehouse, Outside, retail outlets)
- Wearing PPE (e.g. safety boots, high-vis, gloves) as required
