Join Australian Biotechnologies and play a key role in optimising, validating and maintaining manufacturing equipment within a GMP-regulated biotechnology environment.
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to support equipment reliability, validation and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
About the Role
You will work closely with manufacturing, quality and engineering teams to ensure equipment is compliant, reliable, and operating at optimal performance. The role supports equipment design, installation, troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimise and maintain manufacturing equipment in line with GMP requirements
- Support installation, commissioning and validation of new equipment
- Drive equipment improvements to enhance safety, quality and efficiency
- Conduct performance, capacity and utilisation analysis
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues across operations
- Maintain engineering documentation including SOPs, change controls and validation records
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders on equipment design and delivery
- Support workspace planning, tooling design and process improvement initiatives
- Develop and deliver training on equipment use, cleaning and maintenance
About You
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years' experience in equipment design, maintenance, validation or optimisation
- Strong understanding of GMP environments and validation principles
- Experience with CAD and mechanical schematics
- Proven ability to implement equipment solutions and improve process stability
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
- Leadership experience highly regarded

- Salary: $100,000 + Super
- 1 position available
- Car licence required
- Some interstate travel and occasional out-of-hours work
