An established and highly regarded accounting and advisory firm based in Melbourne's south-east is seeking an experienced SMSF Accountant to join their collaborative and growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical SMSF experience who enjoys working closely with clients and being part of a supportive professional environment.
About the Role
Reporting to senior leadership within the business, you will be responsible for the end-to-end administration and accounting of a portfolio of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of SMSF financial statements and tax returns
- Processing fund transactions and reconciliations
- Liaising with auditors, advisers, and clients
- Ensuring compliance with relevant superannuation legislation
- Managing annual compliance obligations
- Assisting with technical SMSF queries where required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- 5+ years' experience within Australian public practice accounting
- Strong hands-on SMSF accounting experience
- CA or CPA qualification (completed or in progress)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A proactive and adaptable approach
