Japanese Speaking Financial Executive Admin Assistant

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Japanese Speaking Financial Executive Admin Assistant to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
In this role, you will work closely with senior management, acting as a key bridge between the local team and the overseas head office. You will coordinate requests, collect and analyse data, and provide essential support to enable informed decision-making. Much of your work will focus on financial management, making this a fantastic opportunity for candidates with accounting qualifications or relevant experience. You will also provide occasional backup support to the local accounting team, contributing to a variety of projects and business operations.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, international environment, enjoys working across teams, and wants to develop their financial and administrative expertise while supporting senior leadership.
What the Role Involves
- Collect, check, and analyse financial data to support budgets, forecasts, and business planning
- Monitor bank balances and assist with cash flow
- Process funding arrangements, internal transfers, and maintain accurate records
- Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, including monthly sales and financial reports
- Support treasury activities, including foreign exchange monitoring and risk assessment
- Assist with diary management, travel bookings, accounts processing, and other administrative tasks
- Represent our client at industry and community events as required
- Support basic accounting processes such as month-end reconciliations
- Assist with budgeting, profit analysis, invoicing, and head office projects
- Translate documents and correspondence as required
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and workplace health & safety
- Handle any ad-hoc duties as required
What We're Looking For
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance or relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in accounting or financial support, preferably in a Japanese corporate or multinational company
- Bilingual: native-level Japanese and fluent English
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organisation and administration skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team
- Advanced computer skills, including Google Suite and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Victorian driver's license and access to reliable transport
