Assistant Accountant

Our client is a well-established and growing business in Australia located in Moorabbin, known for their friendly and collaborative team culture. They are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their accounting career in a stable and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Prepare and reconcile bank statements

• Support general ledger maintenance and journal entries

• Assist with BAS, payroll, and other statutory reporting requirements

• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders as needed

• Provide administrative support to the finance department

About You:

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in an accounting or finance support role

• Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. MYOB, Xero, or similar)

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
