Sanitation Cleaner / Janitor

We are seeking reliable, hardworking and safety-focused Casual Sanitation & Janitor team members to join our food manufacturing facility.
This is an important role within our business, helping us maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment across our production facility and ensuring our high standards of food safety are maintained.
About the Role
As a Sanitation & Janitor, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitising production areas, equipment and general facility areas. You will need to pull equipment and detail clean machines. You will work closely with the production team to ensure the facility is maintained to a high standard.
This is a casual position with varying shift requirements, so flexibility and availability are essential. This is not full time ongoing, you may receive from 0-5 shifts a week, depending on production levels.
Available Shifts
Our shifts may include:

• Morning: 6:00am – 2:00pm
• Afternoon: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
• Night: 10:00pm – 6:00am

Applicants must be available to work at least two of the three shift patterns and have open availability to work weekends.
Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise production areas, machinery and equipment.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Clean floors, walls, work areas and other designated areas.
• Clean staff amenities, offices and common areas as required.
• Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment.
• Follow all cleaning, sanitation and food safety procedures.
• Correctly use required PPE and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
• Remove waste and maintain designated waste areas.
• Complete cleaning tasks within required timeframes.
• Report any safety, maintenance or hygiene issues to supervisors.
• Work effectively around production operations while following all site requirements.

About You
The successful applicants will be:

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Flexible and available to work varying shifts.
• Available to work at least two of the three shift patterns.
• Available to work weekends as required.
• Physically capable of performing cleaning and sanitation duties.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Able to follow instructions, procedures and safety requirements.
• Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high hygiene standards.
• A team player with a positive attitude.
• Previous experience in cleaning, sanitation or food manufacturing is highly regarded, but training will be provided for the right candidates.
