Accounts Receivable Officer

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Recievable Officer to join a stable and growing business in a part-time capacity. This role offers excellent flexibility, making it ideal for someone seeking school hours.
About the Role
Reporting to the CFO and working within a small, supportive team (AP, AR & Payroll), you will take ownership of the accounts receivable and credit function, ensuring timely collections and accurate account management.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end credit management and debt collection
- Managing progress claims and retentions within the building industry
- Monitoring customer credit limits and risk
- Processing new credit applications, including Equifax checks and PPSR registrations
- Allocating and receipting EFT, cheque, and credit card payments
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Resolving account queries, short payments, and outstanding invoices
There is also the opportunity to take on a 4th day assisting with payroll, including timesheet entry for approximately 22 employees (fortnightly, in line with the Manufacturing Award).
About You
- 4-5 years' experience in a full-function credit/AR role desirable
- Strong communication skills (phone and email)
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- A friendly, team-oriented approach
Highly Regarded
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor or similar)
- Exposure to construction industry collections
- Familiarity with Payapps and Aconex
- Credit risk analysis experience using Equifax and PPSR
- ADP payroll system experience
