APS 6 People Policy and Workplace Relations

HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of APS6 People Policy and Workplace Relations on behalf of our client, a large Federal Government Agency located in Surry Hills & Parramatta.
This position plays a key role in developing and implementing people policies, supporting workplace relations initiatives, and advising on employee performance and engagement. You'll collaborate across divisions to ensure alignment with organisational values and strategic goals, contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Researching, interpreting and applying enterprise agreements, policies and legislation
- Developing, reviewing and updating employment-related policies and procedures
- Providing clear and accurate advice to enhance manager capability and employee relations
- Supporting business process improvement and HR project delivery
- Building and maintaining relationships across internal and external stakeholders

About You
You are an experienced HR or workplace relations professional who thrives on collaboration and continuous improvement. You demonstrate initiative, sound judgement, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you'll have:
- Strong understanding of HR, workplace relations, and policy frameworks
- Proven ability to interpret and apply legislation, enterprise agreements, and policy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory skills
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a complex environment
Security Requirements:
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Pre-Engagement Check, including an Australian Government Security Vetting clearance.
