APS 5 & APS 6 Project Officer

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking experienced APS5 & APS6 Project Officers to join a high-performing federal government team within the NSW/ACT Division located in TAREE, NSW.
These opportunities sit within the Communications, Governance and Reform Team and will support senior leadership through governance coordination, executive support, communication activities and strategic administrative functions.
APS5 Project Officer
As an APS5 Project Officer, you will provide governance and administrative support to Regional Managers and senior leaders while contributing to effective governance and communication outcomes across the division.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing governance and administrative support including reporting, briefings and documentation
- Preparing high-quality written materials including briefs, correspondence and reports
- Coordinating governance activities including meetings, action tracking and follow-ups
- Supporting communication activities and maintaining SharePoint content
- Managing competing priorities and supporting workflow coordination
- Engaging with stakeholders to gather information and support governance outcomes
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across governance processes
About You
To be successful, you will bring: - Experience in governance, administration or secretariat support
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using SharePoint and digital communication tools
- Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
APS6 Project Officer
As an APS6 Project Officer, you will provide high-level governance, corporate and communication support to senior leadership while contributing to strategic priorities and executive decision-making across the division.
Key responsibilities include: - Leading governance and corporate support activities for senior leadership teams
- Preparing and quality assuring executive briefings, reports and governance documentation
- Supporting executive decision-making through research, analysis and strategic advice
- Delivering end-to-end secretariat support for governance forums and executive meetings
- Monitoring project deliverables, risks and outcomes across the division
- Translating complex information into clear and fit-for-purpose communications
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across governance and information management
About You
To be successful, you will bring: - Demonstrated experience providing high-level governance or secretariat support
- Strong judgement and ability to manage sensitive information
- Highly developed written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience supporting executive decision-making and governance processes
- Experience using SharePoint and managing digital content and records
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels
