APS 3 Participant Support Officer

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking customer-focused and empathetic APS3 Participant Support Officers to provide frontline support for our government client, in Wagga Wagga. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful outcomes for NDIS participants while building valuable APS experience in a supportive government environment.
About the Role
- Provide high-quality customer service as the first point of contact for participants, customers, and stakeholders via front-of-house, phone, and email support.
- Manage and resolve participant enquiries in line with NDIS legislation, operational guidelines, and work instructions.
- Triage moderately complex enquiries and refer matters to the appropriate teams or support services where required.
- Handle participant matters with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgement.
- Manage shared inboxes, prioritise escalated matters, and coordinate timely responses.
- Conduct outbound calls to participants, providers, and stakeholders as required.
- Support operational and administrative processes to ensure quality participant outcomes.
- Assist with project support activities including research, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute positively to workplace culture.
Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay rate of $37.36 per hour plus superannuation.
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.

About You
- Demonstrated experience in customer service, service delivery, administration, or disability-related environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive conversations professionally and empathetically.
- Ability to think critically and problem-solve in a fast-paced, participant-focused environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Adaptable, reliable, and able to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- A positive attitude toward inclusion, diversity, and supporting people with disability.
- Comfortable working within structured government processes and systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems is highly regarded.
Please note you do need to be an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN for this Federal Government role, and successful candidates will be required to complete pre-employment screening including a National Criminal History Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
