APS 6 Risk Advisor

We are seeking an experienced APS6 Risk Advisor to join a large, purpose driven federal government environment team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful initiatives, supporting robust risk management practices that contribute to nationally significant outcomes.
About the Role
Reporting with limited direction, the APS6 Risk Advisor will deliver specialist risk advisory services across multiple portfolios and initiatives. The role combines technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement, supporting both operational and strategic risk outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Risk identification, assessment, treatment and monitoring across projects and operations
- Oversight of control design, obligation management and treatment plans
- Facilitating risk workshops and reviews with risk owners
- Contributing to enterprise risk reporting and data analysis
- Supporting risk maturity initiatives and training programs
- Administration and support of an Integrated Risk Management System
About You

- Proven experience across risk management frameworks and methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
- Adaptability in managing changing priorities and complex workloads
- High levels of integrity, professionalism and sound judgement
- A strong, positive understanding of disability and inclusive practices
Risk Management qualifications are highly regarded but not mandatory.
Working Conditions
- Full-time hours, 8:30am-5:00pm
- Open-plan, hot desk office environment in Robina
- Hybrid working arrangements available
- Use of Microsoft Office and government systems
- Australian Government security clearance required (AGSVA)
