Director - Sourcing, Advice and Supply (Cloud Campus Program)

HOBAN Recruitment is partnering with a major ACT Government agency located in PHILLIP ACT to recruit an experienced procurement leader for a pivotal role supporting a landmark Cloud Campus Program. This is an exciting opportunity to drive complex ICT procurement activities that will directly contribute to the modernisation of education and digital service delivery across the Territory.
About the Role
As the Director, Sourcing, Advice and Supply, you will lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for a suite of strategic ICT projects within the Cloud Campus Program. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will:
- Deliver expert procurement leadership for complex ICT solution sourcing.
- Develop, manage and assure high‑quality procurement documentation across the lifecycle.
- Provide strategic advice that facilitates defensible, value‑for‑money outcomes.
- Oversee multiple concurrent procurement projects and respond effectively to changing requirements.
- Engage productively with internal and external stakeholders, adjusting communication styles to suit diverse audiences.
- Contribute to procurement capability uplift and support broader ACT Government procurement reform initiatives.
- Represent the program in briefings, market engagements and stakeholder forums.
This role requires three days per week onsite at a Canberra campus location.

About You
You are an accomplished procurement professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys working with senior stakeholders. You will bring:
- Deep knowledge and experience in public sector procurement, ideally within ICT.
- Strong strategic, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- High emotional intelligence with adaptable communication and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality outcomes under pressure.
- Experience leading procurement projects from approach‑to‑market through to contract execution.
- Strong leadership qualities with a customer‑centric approach.
- Professional resilience, initiative and sound judgement.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications in procurement, law, business, or related fields (or ability to obtain).
