                        HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced Director - Economics & Pricing (EL2) to join a leading federal government agency. About the Role
As the Director - Economics & Pricing, you will:
 
- Lead the design and delivery of pricing policy initiatives and frameworks.
 
- Manage complex projects and reform programs to ensure quality and timely delivery.
 
- Apply economic and analytical modelling to provide sound pricing policy advice.
 
- Prepare clear, persuasive written material including briefings, reports, and presentations.
 
- Support risk identification, issue management and policy evaluation activities.
 
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure policy is practical, evidence-based, and transparent.
 
- Foster a positive, high-performing, and collaborative team culture.

About You
You are an experienced leader who brings strategic insight, analytical capability, and a passion for improving policy outcomes. You will have:
 
- Strong program and project management skills, with a track record of policy or regulatory delivery.
 
- Advanced ability to analyse and translate complex economic or financial data into actionable advice.
 
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills suited to senior audiences.
 
- Sound judgement, problem-solving ability, and conceptual thinking.
 
- Proven stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
 
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently while contributing to team success.
 
- Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in economics, public policy, management, or related field, or equivalent senior-level experience in government or regulatory environments.
