Full-time position, offering 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, enabling a healthy work-life balance and time.
HOBAN is seeking an experienced EL1 Assistant Director - Assurance Manager to support a high profile, large scale transformation program within a Federal Government agency.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a governance, risk, and assurance professional to lead and coordinate assurance activities across a complex program and contribute to executive level decision making.
About the Role
You will play a critical role in the day to day delivery of assurance activities, working across internal teams and external assurance providers. You will ensure assurance frameworks, reporting, and governance processes are robust, audit ready, and aligned with program priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage program wide assurance activities
- Develop and maintain integrated assurance plans and schedules
- Support external audits, reviews and independent assessments
- Analyse assurance findings and identify trends, risks and gaps
- Prepare high quality executive and Board level reports
- Maintain assurance registers, frameworks and audit readiness
- Engage with stakeholders across program streams and assurance providers
About You
- Strong experience in assurance, governance or risk within government or regulated environments
- Proven ability to analyse complex information and provide clear insights
- Excellent written communication, with experience preparing executive briefings
- Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
