Road Worker

Position Title: Bridge Worker - Grade 4
Location: Waratah (Cnr Turton & Griffiths Roads) / Karuah work site
Duration: 6 months (with possibility of 6-month extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $45.04 per hour + super

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bridge Worker - Grade 4 to join a road and bridge maintenance team supporting Transport infrastructure projects. This role is based out of Waratah with work conducted at the Karuah site, requiring candidates who are willing to work away from home during the assignment.

This is a hands-on role involving bridge and road maintenance works as part of a skilled civil infrastructure crew.

Key Duties

• Assist with bridge and road maintenance activities
• Carry out physical labouring tasks on civil infrastructure projects
• Support site operations to ensure safe and efficient delivery of works
• Work effectively as part of a team in outdoor and varying conditions

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 4:00pm
• Possible night shift: Monday to Thursday 6:00pm - 4:00am
• 4-day working week structure

Required Tickets & Licences

• Working at Heights ticket (mandatory)
• General Construction Induction (White Card) (mandatory)

Preferred Tickets

• High Risk Work Licences (desirable)

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Previous experience in bridge or road maintenance or similar civil construction work

Desirable:

• Experience working on Transport or government infrastructure projects

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to work away from home (Karuah base)
• Police Check required (at offer stage)
• 2 verbal references required
• Right to work in Australia (mandatory)
• Code of Conduct acceptance (mandatory)
• Proof of ID to be provided and shared with TfNSW upon offer
• PPE required: Hi-vis clothing, steel cap boots, broad brim hat
