Pay Rate: $40.43 + super
Are you an experienced driver looking for a flexible and rewarding role? Do you have a proven track record in providing safe, professional, and punctual passenger transport? We are creating a pool of Casual Ministerial Drivers to support the Premier's Department Transport Services Operations team.
About the Role
As a Ministerial Driver, you will provide high-quality transport services and perform non-driving duties to support NSW Ministers, Office Holders, public officials, and other authorised clients. This casual position may involve early mornings, evenings, weekends, and work outside nominal hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport Ministers, Office Holders, public officials, and authorised clients in NSW.
- Assist with travel arrangements, minor office tasks, and other duties as required.
- Maintain assigned vehicles to a high standard, including cleanliness, security, and minor maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with Transport Services Operations policies.
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with Ministers, Office Holders, their staff, and the Transport Services team.
- Comply with work health and safety standards, vehicle regulations, and departmental policies.
About You
- Calm, dependable, and professional with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Highly reliable and safety-conscious driver with extensive knowledge of Sydney roads and NSW regional areas.
- Flexible and able to work on an ad-hoc schedule with short notice, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
- Committed to confidentiality, integrity, and high-quality customer service.
- Experienced in vehicle maintenance and professional presentation.
Eligibility & Requirements:
- Valid Australian Driving Licence.
- Criminal records check and driving/navigation assessment.
- Medical assessment due to the physical nature of the role (handling luggage).
