Supervisor (Trades)

HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Supervisor (Trades) to support the delivery of construction, maintenance and upgrade works in Roma, QLD. This role is ideal for a hands-on supervisor with strong building services knowledge, contract administration experience and a proactive approach to workplace safety.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervision of contractors and trade staff across construction and maintenance activities
- Scoping, tendering and contract administration for preventative maintenance services
- Producing high-quality estimates, quotations, tenders and project trade packages
- Coordinating condition assessments, including inspections of building elements and materials
- Oversight of procurement, work orders and service frequency compliance
- Assisting in planning and delivering projects through effective team supervision
- Ensuring compliance with WHS requirements, including audits, inspections and SMS application
- Promoting a safe, inclusive and compliant workplace aligned with current HR and WHS principles

About You
You are a capable and confident supervisor with a strong trade background and experience leading building-related works.
You will bring:
- Building or construction industry trade background (preferred)
- Construction-related trade qualification (highly desirable)
- Current White Card (WHS General Safety Induction)
- Proven experience supervising trade staff and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of building services, technical specifications and service schedules
- Demonstrated experience in contract administration and tender preparation
- Ability to undertake condition assessments and cost estimates
- Experience facilitating WHS audits and conducting on-site safety inspections
- Sound knowledge of procurement and work order management processes
- Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- A proactive approach to safety, compliance and continuous improvement
