Trades Assistant

Seeking Trade Assistant for fabrication, assembly, wedling and general manufacturing duties.

Candidates must be able to:

Frequently lift 10-15kg from waist height to shoulder height.

• Frequently lift 10-15kg from waist height to shoulder height.
• Lift and move items weighing 15-20kg.
• Perform repetitive bending, squatting, and manual handling tasks.
• Apply moderate to high force when using hand tools such as torque wrenches.
• Demonstrate good physical stamina, strength, flexibility, and dexterity.

Key Duties

• Fabricate and assemble components to production schedules.
• Drill, countersink, buff, and grind metal plates and components.
• Perform spray painting and preparation of parts for painting.
• Carry out welding and jig preparation.
• Complete quality inspections and maintain production records.
• Identify and report defects or quality issues.
• Monitor stock levels of production consumables and notify supervisors when replenishment is required.
• Follow work instructions, drawings, quality procedures, and WHS requirements.
• Assist warehouse operations when required.
• Participate in special projects and work overtime as needed.
• Ensure equipment, materials, and forklifts are stored safely at the end of each day.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, welding, or production environments.
• Comfortable with physically demanding work.
• Strong focus on safety and quality.
• Able to follow technical drawings and work instructions.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to assist across multiple operational areas.
