APS 6 level Procurement Officer

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced APS6 level Procurement Officer to support a federal government agency through high‑level procurement advisory and operational services located in PARKES ACT. This role is ideal for a procurement professional who thrives on accuracy, stakeholder engagement, and delivering value for money in line with Commonwealth frameworks.
About the Role
In this position, you will play a key part in ensuring the organisation's procurement activities are compliant, efficient and strategically aligned. You will:
- Provide quality, accurate and timely procurement advice to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act (PGPA Act).
- Partner with business areas to understand procurement needs and promote early engagement.
- Support decision makers to achieve effective, value-for-money procurement outcomes.
- Create, update and maintain procurement records in TechOne and BuyICT.
- Manage AusTender activities including approaches to market, panel arrangements and reporting.
- Develop clear, user-friendly internal documentation aligned with better practice.
- Support contract management, ensuring obligations are monitored and reported.
- Build strong internal and supplier relationships to support successful contract delivery.
- Promote the organisation's vision, mission, values and people management principles.

About You
To be successful, you will bring:
Required
- Experience using TechOne, AusTender and BuyICT systems.
- Training in:
- Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)
- PGPA Act compliance
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy.
Highly Desirable
- Completion of, or progress toward, a Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Procurement and Contracting.
- Experience in developing procurement documentation and templates.
- Knowledge of contemporary APS values and people management principles.
Please note you do need to be an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN and hold a current BASELINE Clearance for this Federal Government role.
