Radiologist / Clinical Advisor

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking experienced Radiologists to join Clinical Advisor roles supporting visa health assessment and assurance activities within a Commonwealth environment located in Canberra ACT and or Sydney NSW. These roles provide specialist clinical advice under a robust Health Governance Framework and contribute to protecting and improving public health outcomes.
About the Role
As a Clinical Advisor (Radiologist), you will provide expert radiological advice to support visa health decision‑making and assurance functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing, interpreting and reporting diagnostic imaging (including chest X‑rays and other modalities) for visa health assessments
- Providing specialist clinical advice on radiological findings relevant to Australia's health requirements
- Identifying clinically significant conditions that may impact visa outcomes
- Supporting clinical governance and assurance activities, including quality review of imaging and reports
- Preparing clear, evidence‑based clinical opinions suitable for administrative decision‑making
- Complying with health governance, policy and information security requirements

About You
To be successful, you will bring:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) or an equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
- Current AHPRA specialist registration in Radiology
- Recent, demonstrated experience in diagnostic radiology
- Experience interpreting imaging relevant to public health screening (e.g. chest imaging)
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to document clear clinical opinions
Desirable experience:
- Background in government, regulatory or immigration health settings
- Familiarity with clinical governance or quality assurance frameworks
