HOBAN Recruitment is seeking experienced APS6 level Case Managers to join a high-performing external review team within a federal government environment. In this role, you will manage complex and sensitive matters, working within a legislative framework to support fair, timely and well-reasoned outcomes.
You will be responsible for end-to-end case management of external review matters, exercising sound judgement, critical thinking and initiative while working to tight tribunal deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of complex external review and tribunal matters from start to resolution
- Analysing legislation, policy and evidence to develop resolution options and recommendations
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to resolve disputes effectively
- Preparing high-quality written material, including executive briefs and case documentation
- Attending and contributing to case conferences, conciliations and hearings
- Assessing and responding to risk, priority matters and changing workloads
- Applying alternative dispute resolution principles to achieve timely outcomes

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong analytical capability, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key skills and experience required:
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and make informed decisions efficiently
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including issues management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive briefs
- Proven ability to work effectively within teams to meet tight tribunal or statutory deadlines
- Experience managing a portfolio of complex and sensitive matters while responding to changing priorities
Desirable qualifications and experience:
- Experience and/or qualifications in one or more of the following:
- Law or administrative law
- Therapy disciplines (Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Physiotherapy)
- Case management
- Insurance
- Dispute resolution
