HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Support Officer (AO3 level) to provide vital administrative, financial, and governance support for a busy Business Improvements and Systems (BIS) unit located in Brisbane CBD.
In this role, you will manage essential workflows across the employee lifecycle, coordinate financial processes, and ensure smooth operations so the team can focus on delivering high-level technical and process improvements.
You will be the organised, proactive backbone of the team-supporting correspondence, meetings, compliance requirements, and stakeholder engagement.

About You
You are an organised, detail‑focused administrator who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in delivering high‑quality operational support. You balance multiple priorities with ease and maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in business support or administrative roles
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy across all tasks
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to build positive relationships with internal stakeholders
- Sound judgement and the ability to research, analyse, and make informed decisions
- Confidence in seeking clarity, reporting progress, and identifying emerging issues
- Commitment to delivering work aligned with broader organisational objectives
- Practical understanding of governance, finance, and compliance processes (desirable)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-standard administrative support to ensure efficient BIS team operations
- Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes in line with policy
- Support financial administration including invoice processing and credit card reconciliation
- Monitor and manage internal and external correspondence and mailboxes
- Coordinate meeting logistics, draft agendas, record minutes, and maintain dashboards
- Maintain and enhance team registers, systems, and procedures
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across HR, Finance, and IT
- Undertake general administrative tasks to support a positive, high-performance culture
