We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Human Resources Business Partner (ASO4) to join a busy SA Government workforce team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with government experience who enjoys partnering with managers, providing practical HR advice, and supporting a range of workforce activities. Based within a collaborative and high-performing environment, you will play a key role in delivering operational HR services that support organisational objectives.
About the Role
Reporting to the Principal Human Resources Business Partner, you will provide human resources advisory and administrative support to business leaders and teams across the organisation. You will work closely with managers to deliver effective workforce solutions while ensuring compliance with government policies, procedures, and employment frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and practical HR advice to managers and stakeholders on a range of workforce matters.
- Support recruitment, selection, onboarding, and workforce administration activities.
- Assist with classification and reclassification processes.
- Prepare HR correspondence, documentation, reports, and workforce-related communications.
- Maintain accurate HR records and support workforce data management and reporting.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with managers and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to workforce projects, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the delivery of quality customer-focused HR services across the business.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous HR experience within the South Australian Government or broader public sector.
- Experience providing HR advisory support across a range of workforce matters.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Sound understanding of contemporary HR practices and employment frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A professional, confidential, and customer-focused approach.
- Experience using HR information systems and workforce reporting tools will be highly regarded.
Desirable Experience
- HR experience within SA Health, a Local Health Network, or another government agency.
- Exposure to CHRIS21 or other HRIS platforms.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
