EL1 PMO Risk & Project Roles - Disability Sector

We are seeking multiple experienced professionals to join a high-profile Program Management Office (PMO) within the disability sector. These roles sit at the executive level 1 and will support a large-scale, complex transformation program.

We are currently hiring across three key functions, with roles being prioritised in the following order:
- Project Planner / Scheduler
- Risk Officer
- Project Coordinator / Manager
The Opportunity
Working within a fast-paced PMO, you will play a critical role in strengthening program delivery through effective risk management, planning, governance, and coordination.
You will collaborate across multiple delivery streams, providing insights and ensuring alignment to support informed decision-making at a senior level.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on your area of expertise, responsibilities may include:
Risk & Assurance
- Support and deliver assurance and risk management activities across a complex program
- Conduct risk assessments and provide evidence-based advice to stakeholders
- Analyse and synthesise information to identify trends, issues, and impacts
- Contribute to a strong, proactive risk culture across the program
Project Coordination / Governance
- Support end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment to scope, timelines, and priorities
- Prepare high-quality governance papers, reports, and briefings for senior stakeholders
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change processes
- Coordinate activities across multiple project streams
Program Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules across a multi-stream program
- Identify critical paths, dependencies, and schedule risks
- Provide data-driven insights on delivery progress and potential impacts
- Work closely with project managers to ensure alignment across timelines and deliverables
About You
We are interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
Core Capabilities
- Strong experience in risk, assurance, project coordination, or program scheduling within complex environments
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to interpret complex information and provide clear, actionable insights
- High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with senior executives
- Sound judgement and the ability to navigate sensitive or complex scenarios
Technical Skills (role-dependent)
- Experience in risk management frameworks and assurance activities
- Strong project governance, reporting, and delivery coordination capability
- Expertise in integrated planning, scheduling, and dependency management
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools (for planning roles)
Highly Regarded
- Experience working within a PMO or portfolio environment
- Background in government or highly regulated sectors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Baseline security clearance (or willingness to obtain)
