We are currently seeking experienced Senior HR Business Partners (ASO6) for two opportunities within a State department.
These roles are ideal for HR professionals with strong SA Public Sector experience who can partner with senior stakeholders and deliver high-quality workforce solutions in a complex healthcare environment.
About the Roles
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will provide strategic and operational HR advice, coaching and support to senior leaders and their teams. You will play a key role in enabling a flexible, high-performing and responsive workforce while supporting the delivery of critical health services.
1. 5 weeks Backfill
- Duration: 5-week backfill
- Start: Shadow from 7 July 2026 | Backfill from 14 July 2026
- FTE: 0.8 (Tuesday-Friday preferred) or 1.0 FTE
- Focus: Immediate HR support in a fast-paced environment
2. 6 months Initially
- Duration: Initial 6 months (potential extension up to 12 months)
- Start: Within 2 weeks
- FTE: Full-time (1.0)
- Focus: Strategic HR partnering within a clinical service
- Highly desirable: Health sector experience
Key Responsibilities (Both Roles)
- Provide expert HR advisory across employee relations, performance management and workforce matters
- Coach leaders and support effective people management practices
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to deliver workforce solutions
- Support HR strategies, workforce initiatives and organisational change
- Contribute to continuous improvement and a positive workplace culture
About You
- Essential: Demonstrated experience in the SA Public Sector
- Strong understanding of industrial relations, policies and governance frameworks
- Proven ability to manage complex HR matters, disputes and stakeholder engagement
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and deliver outcomes
- Must have a current National Police Check (<2 years)
